Abstract
Phosgene is caused to act upon 3-oxy-4-aminobenzene-1-arsinic acid; the product has a good effect upon spirochaetes and trypanosomes and may be administered both parenterally and per os. In an example the acid, dissolved in sodium acetate solution, is treated with phosgene, and the product recrystallized from hot water. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers also to the treatment and phosgene of homologues and analogues of the 3-oxy-4-aminobenzene-1-arsinic acid. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
