Stopping pipes and tubes.-A plug used to stop the end or both ends of a fuel distributing pipe for a motor vehicle is formed in two relatively movable ports c<v>, c<3> with a screw connection c<4>, and the port c<v> is provided with bolts g operated by a key f to engage a groove in the conical bush b into which the plug fits. A separate key is used to rotate the screw c<4>, which causes the port c<3>, held against rotation by a pin g', to move downwardly to engage its seating. The extent of this movement is limited by a screw g<2>. A ring d of packing-material is held on the Iort c<3> by a, cap b<1>. A sliding plate in the top of the plug covers the keyhole and is moved aside by a two-peg key fitting into two holes, one in the plate and the other in the top of the plug. The bush is either the pipe end oar a separate fitting.
