Abstract

211,963. Gilfillan, K. A. B. Nov. 30, 1922. No Patent granted (Scaling fee not paid). Actuating by air pressure.-The piston b is actuated in one direction by a spring c and in the other by suction or pressure fluid controlled, by a valve j which is reversed by the piston near each end of its stroke by means of an arm f engaging two springs p, q on the valve rod. A spring catch u holds the valve in position until the spring p or q is sufficiently compressed to overcome it. Counting-mechanism to indicate the volumes of liquid raised may be combined with the pump. According to the Provisional Specfication, the bent end of the valve rod engages the piston rod between two collars thereon, and is provided with a spring-actuated tumbler device.
