Abstract

Fluid - actuated fuel valves for water heaters. -A safety device for use in connection with geysers and intended to be used in addition to the usual cocks for controlling the gas and water comprises a gas valve actuated by a diaphragm always subject to the pressure in the water main. The gas valve 4 is carried by a spindle 5 provided with a head 7 resting on a flexible diaphragm 8 clamped against The casing 1 by a cap 11, provided with a connecting nipple 12. The valve is loaded by a spring 13 adjusted by a screwed plug 14 and the stroke of the diaphragm is limited by a spun metal disc 9. The valve seat is provided with an adjustable bye-pass 17.
