Abstract
210,300. Dick, H. P. Feb. 19, 1923. Bodies.-The surfaces of motor car and other vehicle bodies are covered with rubber or like elastic and waterproof material. A sheet of rubber 12, Fig. 1, with or without a fabric backing, is solutioned or otherwise cemented to the surface 11 of frame member 10, its edges being secured by nails 13 or otherwise and covered by a beading 14. In another form, a beading 20, Fig. 6, on the edge of the sheet is held in a split tube 21, or between a beading and the frame member. Alternatively, the rubber may be applied as a solution painted or sprayed on to the surface of the body.
