Abstract
210,247. Martin, P., and Daimler Co., Ltd. Dec. 16, 1922. Vehicle windows; frames.- The windows of motor vehicles, particularly those with saloon or coupÚ bodies, slide in channel guides 11 extending from the bottom of the pocket continuously to the roof and joined by a channel member 12 at the roof. The windows are preferably of the kind described in Specifications 198,623 or 199,145 and are held in any position by curving the guides in any suitable way, with or without the frictional engagement of a spring-pressed stud projecting through the frame and engaging the windows; or the window may be curved or corrugated and held by frictional engagement with straight guides. When the doors are closed, the guides close against packing- strips on flanged posts supporting the hood. The pocket for the rear window is given a double curvature to guide the window around the wheel arches, as described in Specification 204,658.
