Abstract

209,229. Chamberlain, J. W., and Walker, W. Oct. 26, 1922. Reels and reel-carriages.-A carrier for hanks of yarn has sides formed of two dished plates 1 which are fastened apart by distance pins 4, Fig. 1, or a cylindrical body 11, Fig. 9, upon which the yarn is carried, the carrier being characterised by the provision of bearing-hubs 15 adapted to fit upon the carrying-spindle 16. The pins 4, Fig. 1, may be attached to the side plates 1 by two nuts or by means of a shoulder and a nut, or by being rivetted, and they may be provided with covering tubes serving as rollers. The body 11, Fig. 9, is secured to shoulders 12 and is provided with a cardboard lining 14.
