Abstract

208,860. Lamport, R. F. Nov. 3, 1922. Wind and like screens or deflectors, for perambulators, motor-cars, and other vehicles, of the roller blind' type provided with a gutter attached to the free end of the blind are characterized by the casing having a narrow slot through which the screen can pass and by the gutter being pivoted to the screen so that it forms a closure for the slot in the casing. The blind a is wound on a spring roller b mounted in a casing c provided with clamps d for attaching to the hood of the vehicle. The free end of the blind a is provided with a gutter h which is attached to the blind by a bar f and is adapted to cover the slot in the casing when the blind is rolled up. The blind may be provided with a celluloid window and the triangular spaces left below the screen may be closed with side-wings. The screen may be made partially or wholly elastic.
