Table games. - Appliances for playing table games comprise a plurality of discs or ring-like members formed with substantially perpendicular edges, cue-like members having a substantially blunt striking edge shaped to slide straight on a smooth surface bordered by a ledge, framing or the like together with opposite pockets, recesses or other obstacles substantially near the far ends of the playing surface. The cue, Fig. 2, has a rounded striking edge 4 and a flat or equivalent undersurface adapted to slid along the playing surface when making a stroke. The striking- edge may be formed by an ivory toe-piece 5 secured by screws. Adjacent the striking-edge the cue may be enlarged to increase its weight. The discs 1 or ring-like members have substantially perpendicular edges and three of them represent billiard balls one being coloured red, one white and the third having a distinctive mark. Other discs represent goal keepers or obstructions. The playing board may consist of a glass surface 13 backed by cardboard and three-ply wood, and surrounded by a perpendicular rim 14 which may carry cushioning material. Goals 17 are cut in the rim. The playing surface may consist of enamelled sheet iron, stiff card or painted board. The game is played in a manner resembling billiards.
