Abstract

206,201. Williams, A. July 25, 1922. Coating compositions and processes.-A paste or coating for producing raised decorative effects, letters &c. on plaster, asbestos, wood, glass &c. is composed of rubber solution, gold size or varnish, stand-oil, turpentine, pigments and driers. The rubber solution preferably consists of 2 lb. of rubber to 1 gall. of turpentine or benzol and may be mixed with the paint liquid before or after the pigments have been incorporated. The raised effects &c. are produced by means of combs, brushes, modelling tools, stamps &c., and the ground may be stained or painted before applying the paste, and the effects &c. may be varnished, painted or otherwise decorated. Specifications 12188/14 and 161,201 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11554/88 and 6002/94.
