Abstract
205,439. Miller, A. April 11, 1923. Landing-gangways.-Gangways of the type comprising a wheeled section and a tilting section hinged thereto are provided with sector-shaped supports of the rocking shaft which roll on the ground as the tilting lever is adjusted. The shaft also carries an arm which projects below and supports the tilting section. The tilting section 1 is hinged on a shaft 6 on the wheeled section 4 and is swung on the pin by a lever 2 which can be secured by the pin 5 in any desired position on the quadrant 3. The lever 2 has a counterweight 11. The shaft 6 carries sector members 7 which roll on the ground as the lever 2 is adjusted, and also carries an arm 8 having at its free end a roller 9 bearing on a guide 10 under the tilting section.
