Abstract
205,022. Bonser, J. H., and Bonser, W., (trading as Midland Electric Detonator Fuse Co.). March 24, 1923. Blasting cartridges. - A casing adapted to receive an ordinary blasting cartridge is made with double walls 1, 2, both closed at one end 1<a>, 2<a>, the intermediate space being filled with flame-quenching materials such as sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, magnesium sulphate, or borax, and the open end being also covered with such material 4a after the insertion of an ordinary cartridge 5 in the inner tube 2. This casing is inserted in a borehole either end first.
