Swing seats; seat bottoms and backs.-In canvas-seated chairs adapted to be suspended from a canopied stand and to accommodate the user in a sitting or a reclining position, the canvas seating i is fitted with a cross-bar l adapted to bear against the back of the chair frame to steady the canvas when the chair is changed from one, position to the other. To facilitate the manipulation of the chair, offstanding inclined arm-rests u are provided on the side frames g. The ends of the crossbolt c, which secures the stand members at their junction, project through the framing w of the canopy x, longitudinal slots w<1> being provided to give longitudinal as well as rotational adjustment about the cross-bolt.
