Abstract

A method of securing a member having an undersurface to a base is disclosed wherein the member e.g. 16 or 24 is formed from flexible synthetic rubber e.g. E.P.D.M. and provided with pairs of deflectable projections e.g. 21 on the underside thereof defining an inwardly diverging recess adapted to receive a deposit of cement or mastic located between the member and the base, which cement or mastic does not substantially bond to the synthetic rubber, whereby the member is secured to the base but can be removed by pulling therefrom so that the projections deflect to permit the cement or mastic to emerge from the inwardly diverging recesses. <IMAGE>
