Abstract

A power supply circuit, for flashing the direction indicator lights L1, L2 of a motor cycle or a moped having a battery B which would be rapidly drained by flashing the indicator lights when the motor is stopped, comprises a diode (D14) connected in series between the magneto windings (56) of the cycle and the battery to pass current in the battery-charging direction. A multi- vibrator circuit (T2, T4, etc.), for determining the rate of flashing of the indicator lights (L1 and L2) and controlling a relay (Ra) having contacts (7) for connection in series between the indicator lights and the battery is supplied with power via a first transistor (T1). When the motor is stopped, a transistor T5 is switched off, thereby switching off the transistor T1 and preventing operation of the multivibrator so that the battery is not discharged. Over discharge of the battery is also prevented since a transistor T3, which controls the energisation of the relay, is switched off when the battery voltage falls to a predetermined level. <IMAGE>
