Abstract

Composition fuel.-Coal-slack &c. is briquetted with pitch as binder by working up the coal with molten pitch in a heavy edge-runner mill at temperatures below, the melting point of the pitch. A crude mixture of the constituents may first be produced in a malaxator, the required plasticity then being obtained by treatment in the heavy edge-runner mill.
