Abstract
A wrought and rolled leaded bronze metal material of a high lead content containing 6 to 12% Pb, 3 to 5% Sn, 3 to 5% Zn, 0.5 to 1.5% Ni and 75 to 87% Cu is made by dispersing uniformly finely divided lead in an alloy consisting of Sn, Zn, Ni and Cu; adding Li, P and Ca to the mixture; melting the resulting composition; casting the composition and performing alternately cold working and heat treatment; and performing alternately drawing and heat treatment to thereby produce the wrought and rolled leaded bronze metal material.
