Abstract

A moulded plastics cork comprises a horizontal top and a tubular part to be pushed into the inside of the neck of the receptacle to be corked. The tubular part comprises two substantially vertical cylindrical, co-axial closed contour walls 3,4 spaced from one another over the whole of their height and joined together by intermediate moulded vertical connecting strips 5 angularly spaced around the periphery of the tubular part and extending obliquely in the same direction in the horizontal section relative to the corresponding radial directions. The spaces formed between the two cylindrical co-axial walls 3,4 open towards the inside of the receptacle when corked. <IMAGE>
