Abstract

A fabricated shower unit comprises two panels 8, 9, fig. 2, which are connected together by a frame 5 and which define a hollow interior in which the water control valve 6 is housed with the flow and temperature controls extending to the outside of the parcels for the user. The interior also provides an enclosure for the plumbing pipes which are conducted internally from the control valve for connection to an existing supply of either the rising or falling type. The unit has a special shape of inner panel 8 with a shoulder 8c which locates on the rim 3a of the bath and aligns the unit for fixing. Details for accommodating different sizes and shapes of bath are described together with a pivotal door 20, fig. 1, matching the unit. A supporting device in the form of a foot 15 is connected to the part of the unit extending below the rim of the bath. A resilient member carrying a channel-section resilient sealing bead is secured to the bottom of the door 20 and seals the gap between the door and the bath rim. <IMAGE>
