956,151. Shower-baths. ALFRED GOSLETT & CO. Ltd. Jan. 30, 1962 [Nov. 3, 1960], No. 37873/60. Heading A4N. A shower-bath enclosure is made from a synthetic plastic by moulding. An enclosure of unitary construction is formed by sealing a sheet of "Perspex" (Registered Trade Mark) over the mouth of a mould which is evacuated when the sheet has been heated to a workable temperature. The enclosure may be mounted on a wooden base or, alternatively, a foamed plastic base 7 is applied to it. The foamed plastic or hard board may extend over the back and sides of the enclosure. An opaque enclosure may be provided with a transparent dome so that the interior can be illuminated by an external overhead light fitting. A soap dish may be integrally moulded or mounted opposite mixer unit 8 on a flat portion of the wall, Alternatively, the soap dish may be secured externally near a hole in the wall. A flexible conduit 12 connects the mixer unit to a shower rose 10 which has two alternative support positions 9. In another form (Fig. 3, not shown), two halves of a transversely divided enclosure are joined by an H section strip. The halves may alternatively be sealed together or joined by moulded lips.
