Abstract
A motor, or pump, comprises a pair of rotors which are basically plain or toothed rollers that roll closely together. The greater portion of the peripheral surface of each roller comprises either one continuous surface of at least 270 degrees or two diametrically opposite continuous surfaces of at least 90 degrees each, each continuous surface being clear of any projection which would effectively sweep the annular space between the said peripheral surface and the casing. The remainder of the peripheral surface of each roller is furnished with a radial projection(s) and a recess(es), which allow(s) the projection(s) on the other rotor to pass at the nip, the or each projection extending to the inner peripheral surface of the casing. Working-fluid ports may be controlled by the rotors. <IMAGE>
