Abstract

In an electric circuit breaker having a trip bar 51 which is pivoted by a bimetal strip 16 or an electromatic tripping member upon overload or short-circuit, the overload rating of the breaker can be varied by displacement of the trip bar 51 in an axial direction to alter the spacing between an inclined abutment surface 56 on the trip bar 51 and a calibration screw 17 carried by the bimetal strip 16. <IMAGE>
