[Class 38 (v)] An automatic circuit-breaker, such as that of Specification 624,581, has a spring-pressed plunger n between a trip bar a and a trip blade h, so as to prevent the latter from being overstressed in case of excessive movement of the thermally-responsive devices acting on the bar a. The end g of plunger n passes freely through an aperture v<SP>1</SP> in a blade r which is adjustably secured by a screw s to the bar a, so as to be able to vary the distance between the end of plunger n and the blade h.
