Abstract

199,922. Hight, G. F. May 29, 1922. Door holders. - A spring-pressed plunger device on the door for frictional engagement with the floor comprises a rod 1 guided in a lower casing 8 and an upper bracket member 2, the friction pad 10, which is forced into engagement with the floor by a spring 11 in the casing 8, being adapted to be raised into the inoperative position by a loose handle 13 with a camshaped surface 14 on its boss 12 in engagement with a similar surface 6 on the mem ber 2a. By rotating the handle, it rides over the member 2 and lifts the plunger until the handle rests on the flat surface 7. A stop 16 on the plunger rod provides for the lifting movement of the rod and pad.
