Abstract

Clips and clamps, pivoted-jaw. -A gripping device for the cord E of a window blind &c. comprises a strip B of thin metal bent to form two gripping surfaces b<1>, b<2> and pressed against the cord by a spiral spring d on a pin D<1> sliding in a frame D<2>. The grip is released either by pulling cut the cord E or by a pivoted lever on the frame D<2>. In a modification, the strip B is pivoted at its upper end to a plate against which the cord is pressed, and the spring acts at the lower end of the, strip.
