Abstract

198,732. Bamford, J. E. D. Feb. 8, 1922. Weft-catching motions for change-box looms.- Trailing-in of the weft in looms having several shuttles is prevented by means of threads fastened to the front and back of the loom so as to separate the various wefts, these threads passing through eyes 10, Fig. 6, in wires or bands 9 attached to lifters 4, Figs. 1 and 6, mounted on a rod and acted upon by cam parts on a roller 3, which is rotated by means of a strap 5 passing round pulleys 6 on a fixed leg 1. A connecting- rod 7 connected by means of a part 11 to the shuttle boxes fits in a U-shaped iron piece bolted to the strap 5, so as to actuate the strap as the boxes rise and fall.
