Abstract

195,814. Castagnoli, G. Feb. 3, 1922. Inductances.-A basket coil 2, or a honeycomb coil, is mounted within a helical coil 1 so as to be capable of rotation through 180‹ about a diameter. In the inductance shown, the coil 2 is clamped between strips 3 and 4 the latter of which is provided. with lugs 5 carrying pivots 6 mounted in bushings 7 in the former of the coil 2. The ends of the coil 2 are connected to the pivots 6 which are connected 'by spiral coils 9 of copper tape or the like to pins 10 on the former. The coil 1 may have two or more layers or may be section-wound.
