Abstract

195,480. Riley, T. W. Jan. 24, 1922. Pilc or nap, raising. -Rollers carrying brushes for cleaning the raising rollers of a cloth-raising machine are driven by gear wheels b which are keyed on the roller shafts a by keys which may be removed without disturbing the gearwheels so that, if the cloth gets entangled, the brush - carrying rollers may be freed and turned round by hand and reconnected exactly in the old position. The key c, securing each gear-wheel to the shaft a carrying the cleaning-brushes, is tapped to receive a withdrawing tool d. A removable end plate e and nut f hold the key in position.
