Revolving-cylinder and reciprocating-piston type; radial-cylinder engines; driving-gear.-An internal combustion or other fluid-pressure engine, compressor, pump or hydraulic or pneumatic clutch, is provided with radial, rotary cylinders c carrying pistons d held in engagement by centrifugal force or springs with a flexible track g secured to two levers k, i by which the piston stroke may be varied by hand or automatically. A stroke indicator u is secured to the track. The levers are pivoted centrally to the track or to shoes v thereon, and at one end to lugs on nuts p on a hand-operated, right-andleft-handed screw shaft q, and are adjustably connected to a spring k at the other end. Or hand-operated linkage, toggle, cam, or wedge mechanism may be provided. The levers h, i may be automatically adjusted by excessive delivery or exhaust pressure acting on plungers x secured thereto.
