193,105. Shaw, A. July 28, 1922. Screw fastenings.-In a window fastener in which a threaded bolt c' vertically pivoted on a plate d<2> on one sash takes into a threaded socket on the other sash, the pivoted bearing d carrying the bolt c' has an aperture large enough to admit the larger .threaded part c' of the bolt. To prevent removal of the bolt c<1> from its bearing d the sides of the hole in the bearing are flattened after application of the bolt. The pivot d' of the bearing d allows the bolt to be turned with the bearing into a position parallel with the sash.
