Abstract
192,087. Heide, M. von der Hanseatische Apparatebau-Ges. vorm. L. von Bremen & Co. Jan. 18, 1923. Respiratory appliances. -A breathing bag connected to a purifier 5 and oxygen cylinder 3 comprises a rigid container 11 in which is mounted a flexible gas-tight bag 13 communicating with the atmosphere and maintained open by springs. The pressure in the casing is always slightly above atmospheric. In the apparatus shown one wall of the bag 13 acts through a lever on a valve 16 to control the admission of oxygen from the cylinder 3. In a modification, there are two flexible bags within the rigid container acting through a pair of levers on the admission valve. Specifications 136,102 and 168.886 are referred to. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) of the Act, the breathing bag may consist of a single flexible container on which a collapsing pressure is exerted by springs or otherwise. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
