Mouthpieces and earpieces and attachments.-A transmitter mouthpiece or a receiver trumpet has a tubular cushion of a sound-insulating, sound - absorbing or non- sonorous material such as rubber, rubber sponge or cork arranged between it and an intake tube or sound exit tube attached to the associated apparatus in order to absorb undesired resonant vibrations. In an example, Fig. 1, a flanged tube a of rubber is arranged 'between the member b and the trumpet or mouthpiece c. In a modification, the trumpet c is mounted inside a flanged rubber tube which is fitted within the member b. The parts may be held together by friction or by cement, &c.
