Abstract

191,776. Tresidder, S. L., and Rigby, T. Aug. 22, 1921. Seals and sealing.-A sealing device comprises a portable frictional igniter, a holder for sealing wax and a seal. The igniter comprises a container a filled with absorbent material soaked in petrol &c., a wick d<1>, and friction wheel e engaging a spring-pressed flint. Secured to or formed integrally with the container is a tubular holder h for a stick of sealing wax which is secured in a sliding clip j having a knob j<1> extending through a slot h<3> in the holder so that the wax may be made to project at the upper end for heating by the wick when ignited. A crest, monogram or other design is formed on the face of the screw stopper g of the container a for use as a seal.
