S l i d i n g b o l t s. - I n fastenings for sliding sashes, of the type in which a bolt on one sash is adapted to engage a perfo ated plate on the other, the casing b<4> of the bolt b extends over the meeting line of the sashes into close proximity with the perforated plate A so as to prevent tampering with the bolt from without. Recesses b<2>, b<3> in the casing permit the bolt to be retained in the operative or inoperative position. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4223/77 and 6753/90.
