Abstract
24,421. Billings, F. Oct. 28. Percussive channelling-drills.-The end of a portable conveyer 15 dips beneath a hopper 45. Carried by a frame mounted on a central vertical pivot 18 is a shoot 44 and an arm having a hoe 51 delivering material up the shoot 44 into the hopper 45. The hoe may be replaced by a pick inserted in the holes 54. The arm is telescoped by a cylinder 30 and is swung about a horizontal axis by a cylinder 31, the movement being checked or controlled by a cylinder 34. The frame is swivelled about the pivot 18 by an engine to the rear of the engine 36. The conveyer may be mounted on a separate carriage or a receptacle may he substituted therefor.
