Abstract
15,441. Benno Schilde Maschinenfabrik und Apparatebau Ges. Nov. 14, 1911, [Convention date]. Movable trays, trucks, etc.; chambers; air, circulating; carrier bands.-The apparatus shown comprises two drying- chambers a, c separated by an air - heating chamber b; heating-devices f, g are also separately arranged in the lower part of the chamber a, and the air entering from a conduit q passes in succession up the chamber a, down the heating-chamber b, and up the chamber c, receiving various increments of heat from the heating-devices in the chamber a, b. A tray containing moist material is placed on a table n and delivered through a door to the drying-chamber a above the heater g. The tray passes as one of a series gradually up the chamber a, across the top of the chamber b and through a door p to the chamber c, wherein it is lowered, and from the bottom of which it is passed through other doors to the space between the heaters f, g, whence, when the contained material is finally dried, it is removed on to the table n and refilled. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) states also that in place of trays, the material may be conveyed through the apparatus by chains or bands. The drying- chambers may also be arranged horizontally, the material being conveyed by trucks and a travelling platform replacing the hoisting-table n. The heating-chamber may also be laterallv arranged next to the drying-chambers instead of between them. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
