Abstract

23,695. Berry, H. F. Oct. 26. Cauldrons.-Consists in heating and drying stone for tar - macadam on perforated trays moved downwards through a heating chamber by conveyers. The trays d are supported on brackets c on conveyer bands b. The conveyers are connected by gear-wheels e, f, g so as to move together. Hot air may be supplied under pressure, as described in Specification 23,692/11, through a perforated box i in the bottom of the apparatus, or a fire-grate may be provided.
