8095. Bridge, R. March 31. Roller machines.-Relates to the three-roller type of machine for washing, macerating, and similarly treating india-rubber. One roller q is mounted in stationary bearings, and the bearings of the other rollers i, j are provided with adjusting-screws h actuated through gearing n, m, clutches e, and worm-gearing c. Four clutches are provided so that the rollers may be adjusted for parallelism or the nip of both rollers may be independently or simultaneously adjusted. The nuts of the adjusting-screws may be readily removable as described in Specification 9600/11, and water - jets may be placed above the first nip and in front and at the back of the second nip.
