Repairing valves.-A device for facilitating repairs to a main valve comprises a socket A screwed as shown and fitted with a conical lift valve C guided by a hollow spindle F, provided with square ports D and having an adjustable ring E screwed on to the lower end against which the tail end of the main valve bears to open the auxiliary valve.
