Abstract
29,915. Rogers, G. Dec. 22. Moving - chamber apparatus for granular materials. - Bins, canisters, &c. a, for tea, sugar, cereals, &c. are provided with a sliding scoop g adapted to remove a sliding plate e so as to cover or uncover a hole d in the canister when the scoop is withdrawn or replaced. The plate e moves in guides f, within limits determined by abutting parts k on the guides, and has a projection h adapted to be engaged by a notch i in the scoop. The scoop may move in guides and is of a size to deliver a predetermined quantity. The upper bottom may have angled plates o to act as a hopper, and a weight m, connected by a chain n to the lid b, may rest on the material.
