190,920. Kiander, L. A. Jan. 3, 1922. Teeth, artificial. - Relates to removable bridge work. According to the invention the artificial denture is attached to the natural teeth by one or more clips which may be pivotally mounted to give a limited freedom of movement to the denture, and whereby capping, crowning, or grinding of the natural teeth is avoided. A plate b carries two false teeth c attached by bands d and side members d<2> which may have tongues k to provide further security. The side members carry the tooth-clasps f one or both of which may be rotatably mounted on a pin which is a slack fit in a hole in a plate h which carries a stop h<3> and is itself attached to the side member d<2>. The enlarged head j<2> of the pin is recessed in the side of the artificial tooth and the clasp thus has limited freedom relative to the denture. The clasps carry tongues g to engage the natural teeth and by means of the pivotal connection the denture may be fitted to inclined natural teeth.
