Abstract
15,052. Gilderson, R. July 5. Seats and seat backs. -The object is to construct a squab or back cushion which can be readily fitted to or removed from the vehicle. The squab A is connected at its upper edge to a bar B in such a manner as to permit of its hanging down the back of the seat, and is preferably provided with a strip E, which fits between the seat back and the ordinary cushion F , to keep :it in place. The bar B is shaped to the contour of the portion of the vehicle to which it is fixed, and is provided with studs or pins C which fit into holes D in the seat back ; these studs C may be made to act in conjunction with springs or other appliances in the holes D so as to lock the bar B in position. Or the squab A may be secured to a skeleton framework suitably held inside the vehicle.
