Abstract
17,879. Davidsen, M. J. Aug. 19. Ball mills for pulverizing or pulverizing and mixing cements, coal, &c. Relates to machines of the kind described in Specification No. 21,708, A.D. 1893, comprising a cylinder rotating upon trunnions at its ends, through one of which it is fed. The cylinder is divided into two or more chambers by means of partitions 6, 6<a> each formed with cells or pockets 7 adapted to receive material from the lower portion of one chamber and to discharge it at a higher level into the next chamber. The cells may be fitted with ball or other valves 9 or with grids.
