189,283. Michetti, G. Sept. 22, 1921. Escapements for obtaining intermittent motion. -Intermittent movement is imparted to a drum 1 in a kinematograph apparatus from a continuously-rotated gear-wheel 3 by means of a wheel 4, loose on the shaft of the drum 1 and gearing with wheel 3 and connected by a spring 12 to a boss 11 on the drum 1. Teeth 10 on the boss 11 are alternately engaged and released by teeth 9 on a balance wheel 8, which is made to oscillate about a pivot at 8<1> by means of an eccentric 7, mounted on the same shaft 6 as a pinion gearing with the wheel 3.
