Abstract

189,116. Munslow, A. D. Nov. 19, 1921, [Convention date]. Stays.-A hingedly-mounted door or window is secured in an adjusted position by the engagement of a removable pin with one of a series of holes 15 in a curved stay arm 10 and a hole in a lug projecting from the side of a bracket arm 17. The stay arm has also a recessed track 13 and holes or depressions 14 for engagement with a spring-pressed ball 24 in a casing 21, with the lower walls 13, 20 of which the member 10 is in slidable engagement. The tension of the spring 22 is adjustable so as to vary the frictional resistance of the ball member to the movement of the door or window.
