Abstract

188,732. Scott, J. R. Aug. 9, 1921. Current motors. - A windmill comprises a number of trapezoidal frames 4 each having a horizontal shaft 7 on which hangs a vane 5 preferably of aluminium increasing in width towards the outside and normally closing half of the frame 4. The frames are fixed to a vertical shaft 3 and may be arranged in sets one above the other with the frames 4 of one set arranged alternately with those of the other. The sets are connected by bars 9. A framework 2 which may be mounted on a building supports the rotating vertical shaft 3. Adjustable balance weights 8 are fitted to each vane.
