Abstract
187,196. Cattier, R. E. Oct. 10, 1921, [Convention date]. Folding seats.-Relates to a portable folding seat which can serve either as a raised seat or as a ground seat with a stayed back rest. The seat is shown in the raised position and the rear pivoted legs a are provided at their lower ends with pivoted struts b and formed at their upper ends with notches h, and the front legs i are pivoted near the ends of the struts b and are provided with beaks l, so that when the nctches h and beaks l are engaged by cross bars j, m, a raised rigid seat is formed. To transform the raised into a ground seat, the legs i are folded beside the struts b, which are then turned rearwards and upwards together with the legs a so as to constitute a stayed back rest for the seat.
