Abstract

Cellulose acetate threads, films, or fabrics, or mixed goods containing it, are treated, prior to or during dyeing, by means of trisodium phosphate. In an example, acetate silk is treated at 60-70 DEG C. in a bath of disodium phosphate and caustic soda.ALSO:Cellulose acetate threads, films or fabrics, or mixed goods containing it, are treated, prior to or during dyeing, by means of trisodium phosphate solution. In an example, acetate silk is treated at 60-70 DEG C. in a bath of disodium phosphate and caustic soda. The treated silk may be mordanted with tannin and tartar emetic before dyeing.
