Abstract

183,724. Beasley, W. E. Aug. 20, 1921. Turning - gear. - A spring-actuated enginestarter comprises a bar D sliding in a casing E and carrying a spring pawl C for engagement with a ratchet-wheel A on the engine shaft B. A lever H carries a pivoted trip member b for engagement with a stud c on the sliding bar D. The movement of the bar D comprises a spring F which is released when the member h passes over the stud c and actuates the bar D to effect starting.
