Washing-machines with closed or enclosed rotary receptacles.-The rotary perforated cylinder A, divided by partitions B into compartments C each receiving the work of a different customer, has auxiliary compartments D adjacent to the main compartments, which may be formed by closing in one of the lifters E on the outside and providing partitions d between the compartments. A sliding apertured door F is provided which is locked in closed position by the main door A<1> of the cylinder. The auxiliary compartments may alternatively be formed by attachments to the interior or to the door of the cylinder.
